Hi All,

I'm over from the UK visiting family from the 14th till the 22nd, bringing the new wagon with me. Wondered if there are any good events on during that week? Will be in Clare mainly, but any excuse for a drive.

On another note, what are some of the best roads to visit with good scenery?

In Clare Lahinch- black head- Kinvara- Corkscrew hill. Corkscrew hill is a bit bumpy, potholes and often heavy traffic, allow for oncomming cars. A few kms north of corkscrew hill is Ballyalban , another good road.

Black Head is best of all.

Ah thanks for that, have a feeling that's where I went last time. Need to look at the ferries but the Conor Pass over in Dingle looks to good to miss out on.

The Conor Pass is worth doing its a short hop from Clare get the ferry across. Get lunch in Dingle and then over the pass the surface is very good and the road is good and wide on the Dingle side it is narrow on the other side (one car) but you can see all the way down and make a go for it when its clear there is good parking at the top so you can have a nose around and get a few pics. We had a good run up there earlier in the year but it was a bit foggy.
