Hi guys,

I'm a regular visitor over here to see family, but for the first time finally I've got access to car for a week. Alas it isn't my own 330i but a 200,000km Jetta 1.9TDI :/

Where in Clare or Galway are must see roads, either for stunning scenery or great drivers roads?

Throw a post on either irdriver.com or backroads.ie and you'll get a lot more replies than here, this this section is pretty slow moving.

Cheers for the reply, I figured it might be, lot in common with this Jetta then. Suspension is knackered, figure I'll wait till the BMW visits later in the year. I'll check out those sites though.

Visiting Ireland with a 105 bhp Jetta? Mr Lynch, I Presume? I'd have given you a few tips, but you had already done a fair bit of driving when I saw your tweet!

Is it too late to reply here ? If not :

Lahinch, head west along the coast as far as Black Head, drive it in both directions !

From Kinvara, drive up the Corkscrew Hill and nearby Ballyalban Hill.

Head inland to the Tor Ballylea Galway Rally Stage.

Take the ferry from Kilimor to Tarbet and enjoy the roads on the Clare Side.

Vaughans Seafood Bar in Kinvara or Willie Moran's of the Weir near Gort.
