So, who's coming for an end-of-summer spin on the 23rd Sept?
Discussion
We are going for a spin.
We will meet for breakfast at 10.00 AM at The Carvery Restaurant in Tipperary Town (that's in the Dunnes Stores shopping centre on the Limerick end of the town).
There's loads of parking there up past the shops.
The plan is to be on the road for 10.45.
We will be heading from Tipp Town to Galbally and on through there to meet the Limerick - Mitchelstown road and turn left and head into Mitchelstown.
We will re-group on the Ballyporeen road in Mitchelstown (head in to Mitchelstown and turn left at the lights near the Amber station).
By 11.30 we should be regrouped and ready to hit the road and hopefully the gang from Cork will have joined us in Mitchelstown.
From Mitchelstown we'll head through Ballyporeen and on to Clogheen where we'll turn right and head up to The Vee.
We should be at The Vee for around mid-day.
Even allowing for parking up, chatting and taking pics we should still all be on the road again around 1 o'clock.
This timimg should see us get there ahead of the tourists and should get everyone home in time to watch the All Ireland football final if they want to.
Here's a link to the map of the route ...

I've driven the full route in an Elise recently and had no problems with clearance anywhere so you should be fine unless your car is seriously low.
This is an end-of-summer spin, not a race or a rally stage, so anyone acting the bollix will be told to fu(k off.
We've never had any issues on any spins yet and we don't intend for that to change now.
The Carvery Restaurant at the starting point are doing an offer for us for breakfast so make sure to print it off the voucher to avail of their offer.
So, who's coming ..... ?????

I thought it was next week
I was over at the Corvette Nationals last weekend and I've not posted anything up anywhere or organised anything so I guess it's a bit too late now.
Yeah, busy myself for once and meant to get back to you sooner. I must convince the few I told about the C&C to come to Tipp indstead.I was over at the Corvette Nationals last weekend and I've not posted anything up anywhere or organised anything so I guess it's a bit too late now.
Are you going up for the spin in the morning?

I'll go for the spin if they still want to meet up in Little Island we can. If anyone is interested we can meet at 10.30, let me know. Are you going up for the spin in the morning?

Looks like we will go straight to Tipp from here, looks like there is nobody for Little Island from this side.See you in Mitchelstown so or somewhere along the way.
Pure luck I learned this was on this morning
Grest to meet up with everyone, and a lovely run from Mitchelstown to the Vee with the worst of the weather holding off for a mainly dry run.
Cheers to Derek for the spin in his S1 and confirming that, 4 months after selling up my Sport 135, I will be back sometime.
Still, plenty to enjoy in the 911 in the meantime. I was getting into a groove with the recalcatrent 915 box and the bit of deft pedalwork required to match revs & road speed, so changes are becoming smoother and a bit more of a flow with the road is coming as a result.
