Where will we go for an end of summer spin?

Traditionally we've done a spin to The Vee but the road surface isn't ideal up there at present (some has been resurfaced and there are lots of loose chippings and more of it is just poor, particularly at the Lismore side) so we are looking for somewhere else.

Ideally we'll be going somewhere in the bottom half of the country and as spin around Lough Derg, a spin through parts of Clare and a spin through parts of Cork have all been suggested.

Any more suggestions / ideas folks?

Most likely we'll be going before the end of August and appreciate that it won't suit everyone but then again what day will.

We've a PCI Southern Drive next Sunday, Cork City-Glengarrif-Adrigole-Healey Pass- Kenmare-Killarney and home. Great roads, some of this might suit you.
