Should we go back to The Vee this summer? Or elsewhere?

What do you folks reckon about another trip back to The Vee during the summer?

I know the roads will be busier but the weather will also be much better (or at least it should).

If we don't go there can anyone suggest somewhere else we could make a day trip out of?

did the vee 3 weeks ago, the surface at lismore is unreal but very blind and once it opens up from the valley is cr&p, but unfortunately beter than the healy, its after sinking all over the place and turned into a class road for a long travel luxobarge but crap for me and prob the loti gang too

The Vee is always good, at least there's parking and a wide enough road up to it.

This is a secret favourite location of mine too, you may not park as many cars up there as The Vee, but there is a lot of space to pull in up around the double hairpins, it's more central than The Vee, but the road up to it is much narrower, single car width at points so you have to yield for traffic if there's anybody about.

Check it out using Google Streetview, pan around the hairpins and move up and down the road:

If you want to take that Toyota for a spin some evening and do a recce give me a shout, it's about 40mins north from my place.

It's been years since I travelled that road and back then the road surface was terrible.

Is it better now?

Once we have the long evenings I might give you a shout and we take that spin.
