OMSP for niche cars?

Hi all,

I'm thinking about importing a late model TVR but I'm a bit baffled with the VRT schenanigans.

I know that the tax percent is 36% due the missing emissions information but can anyone tell me how Revenue actually determines a the Open Market Selling Price? How do they do it if the car's not in their calculator database? Some chap in the office throws a dart on a value diagram and that's it?

I think they ask these guys to think of a number, double it and add nine. There's your OMSP.
