Mostly pointless thread, but tanks to the advice on here i've booked my S2 - boggo K series into DVA for a rebuild.

Probably the K13 kit, so around 150 bhp. smile

Very excited, but have to wait until July. Finally my Elise will have the power it's always wanted!

What else should i do then?

Do i need to fit PRRT?

I've got Nitrons fitted and better pads, flexible hoses. Don't fancy polybushing it throughout as i like a bit of compliance in the ride. just new standard bushes.

As i just use it in sunny weather and the odd track day (2k miles PA max) thinking of going for softer rubber - R888.

Do i need to upgrade toe links?

Not quite Esprit's style of makeover but this ain't no Sexige!

Top tips for making it work better appreciated. Cheers boys thumbup

I would upgrade the toe links if your going R888

I've heard the 6 spoke wheel on "standard" S2 can only take so much torque/bhp... anyone confirm?

Surely it can handle a rampant 150bhp?!

Ding to that, very important. Elise-shop have recently launched some new ones: http://www.elise-shop.com/eliseshop-toe-link-kit-e...

It mentions it in the user manual... it says do not fit 6 spoke wheels to 111s!!

Cheers chaps.

And yes, Blimey to the 6 spokes not handling the rampant 150bhp! I'll look into that further.

I thought toe links would be a certainty with sticky rubber.

And thoughts on PRRT anyone?

I was never entirely convinced about the PRT - I didn't see anything other than 'theoretical' evidence that it actually helped, just seemed to be more of a "can't do any harm" fix. People with them were still getting HGF, but maybe the damage was already done.

But, I'm happy to be proven wrong on it.

they work, the real issue is do you actually need one?

std car with nothing but std road use has no reason to need one in this country.

if you do trackdays, have more than std power, etc. they they become more essential as the std cooling system just can't deal with it.
