SO what is your longest journey, did you do anything to make the journey more comfortable?

832 miles in a day in an S2 exige. Le Mans to Fife following last year's French Frolic. I think the total for the week was just over 3,500 miles. The only issue was my A/C wasn't that great but other than that very comfortable, no sore back or cramps etc.

I know I will get shot for this but on trips like that cruise control would be great for eating up those long motorway km's.

Also did a similar trip in my S1 135 Sport which had very comfortable corbeau seats. However as it was my first long trip in the elise, I wasn't wise enough to put the soft top on during the August heat in the South of France until I started to drive home. Mind you it only helped a little. Doing the same trip again this year in my S2 elise with no a/c - must be keen ... or mad!

Took my 340R down to Spa. I wore waterproofs to make the journey more comfortable.

Berlin to Dorset in a day. Issues were looking silly stuck in an urban traffic jam with the roof off, when it starting to rain, and getting lost when the sat nav failed to recognize a new bit of motorway. (too mean to buy it a new map).

Devon from Kent was a long drive, that trip was 1,000+ miles in a weekend. I've also taken the Esprit to Le Mans many times and to the 'Ring a few time. I love driving abroad, especially Germany biggrin

Marcon - Leeds was about 550 miles in the day in my 111R. Completely stress-free run except for getting out of Poole which was rubbish. Perfect GT car for drivers in my opinion, but rubbish for passengers.

Midlands to the Ring and back for a weekend, the Elise was very comfortable and an easy drive. Have also done the same journey in an aero-screened Caterham, tended to arrive a little hotter or wetter than in the Elise but a real hoot :-)

2,300 mile round trip, Leeds to Monaco and back in my S1. I didn't use anything to make it more comfortable and was absolutely fine. The wife sat on a pillow. I did however get a blister on the index finger of my right hand from holding the steering wheel for so long

389 in my old Honda'd S1 (Southampton to the Scottish Borders). Looks pretty tame though compared to some of you.

Probably over to Spa in my sport 160 for me.

Best thing I did was select "no motorways" on the satnav when in Belgium. The 3 hours that followed were the best drive I've ever had in any car.

Went through Europe and over the Alps to St Moritz into Italy, down to San Marino and over to Sienna to see the Mille Miglia up the Auto Strada to Milan for the Giro d'Italia (cycling) through the St. Gothard tunnel (14 miles long) up to Luxembourg & Zeebrugge and took the ferry back home to Hull - 2168 miles door to door over ten days in my 111R absolutely fantastic trip the car was so good I could have turned round and done it all again -in fact we are going again this May in my new SC - can't wait !

Rosslare, Ireland to Malaga, Spain in my 111R. The last leg, Gijon, to Malaga was the longest at just over 1000km which I did only stopping for fuel and takeaway coffee. 11 hours in total. Probax seats are brilliant.

Try to take the old San Gottardo pass road (cobbled) rather than the tunnel next time - much more fun in an Elise.

850 miles, Italy to UK in one sitting other than for fuel. The start of the journey included the Stelvio and Fluela passes.

(Edit: people complain about cruise control but then only "drive" their cars for a couple of thousand miles a year so can't enjoy using them much. I'll take air-con and cruise in my elise and more driving/fun over a toy not used much.)
