Hi

Was looking at improving the sound of my Exige and thinking Larini was the way to go. The baffles in my current stage 1 lotus exhaust are getting loose and I wondered how much of the system I need to replace. Also I do loads of track days and really need to keep it to 98Dba si which sytem would you go for?

Hope you can help smile

Well I don't know about the larini. I have a full 2bular system which is fantastic 421 manifold, hi flow cat / flexi-cat pipe, and 8x22 silencer with standard oval exit. If you do change the entire system you will need to have a remap. If you are going to change just the silencer then you'll be fine.

Mine is great as it pops and cracks on high rev up shifts and overrun. With de-cat in place it is around 100 db and around 95 with cat. It is also a lot lighter than the original.

Just put a Larini 'sport' backbox on my Elise SC and it's L O U D very very L O U D!

Took a mate out tonight for a spin and he said 'can't believe that's legal' I replied 'it's not you'd never get onto a track with it' and he said 'I ment road legal!!!'

My ASBO is probably in the post... smile

If i were you ryan i wouldn't be fitting a larini if you intend on doing trackdays..
Numerous track days you would just pass/fail and definately fail on drive bye!.

2ubular all the way for track days.. Plus jim will build it your personal spec!.

I have a larini cs, far too loud for track use. Great piece of kit fails every test so needs to be taken off for track days. Go 2bular and save yourself that hassle.

Sorry for the thread resurrection but I'm thinking of the Larini clubsport for my 240pp.
Did it really read just 98db?
Is it the drive-by that will hit me at tracks?
