I thought there was going to be some announcements but it all seems a bit quiet from lotus. Anyone heard anything?

News of the exige v6 or otherwise might determine whether or not I get an exige rgb while still available.

Well there's a Evora by Khan design and a new limited edition Elise....Still sadly with the only marginally faster than a 320d to 100 engine.

Sorry I missed the 5 bhp increase in power and 25kg weight reduction. Handy if you're trying to get down to a 21 seconds to 100 time....(edit: optional, track only....)

They'll be a 1.6 running 19s limited edition along shortly.

Where's the V6 Exige....

Original '81 turbo esprit was fastest in it's class. Also true for '90 turbo se. Then there's the Lotus Carlton.

Other than that, what have the Romans ever done for us?

Still nothing from Lotus? I was expecting news about an updated exige. They can't be serious about selling only base elise and evora for another 2 years?! I mean if either was a strong seller maybe but neither are flying out the showrooms. It's impossible for dealers to survive the current situation.

Make the brilliant Elise unsellable by hiking up the price to nr Boxster levels and putting an engine in that would prevent it from dropping a 320d; make the Evora fail by introducing so many potential facelifts/interior upgrades and pimped versions that few would dare buy one and then in 4 years time the current management can say their new range surpasses the old. They want to reduce the dealer count so go figure.

If the 1.6 cost say 25 and they put a decent engine in for say 32 it would make it so much harder for their next one to improve on it....
