Does anyone know where I can get a booster cushion to fit the lotus elise?
My wife is relatively short and whilst we were at the Lotus garage, the guy gave her a booster cushion especially for the Elise which pushed her forward enough to make driving a move comfortable experience without having to stretch for the pedals, etc.

Anyway, upon contacting Lotus customer services, it turns out that they sadly do not make them any more which is a pain as the guy said they used to only be c£15-20.

Anyone else found a decent alternative?

Do you mean to say that you want your wife to drive the car!!! I'd either get a divorce or just make sure you're in the driving seat. Seriously though, try a good Karting centre. Children often need seat supports to drive a Kart and these tend to be shaped and sculpted to fit Kart seats. Good luck, but dont worry to much!laugh

It was the only way she would agree to me getting it!! She refuses point blank to drive our (my) car - she drove it once for less than 2 miles and said that she hated it. Fine by me quite frankly!! LOL.

I want to buy the Elise for trackdays and she wants to have a car that she can drive if she needs to if I am not around and I don't want to be running 3 cars considering my car does less than 5k a year and this will do less than 2k probably.

Good shout re the karts though. Will do some enquiries there. Otherwise, it may be a case of finding a specialist upholsterer but would have no idea where to look.

Back to the dealer to measure and photograph the booster and then buy foam and make your own cut to size , or try the local furniture upholstery ?
PS my wife travelled in my ( now sold ) S1 Exige twice in 8.5 years - but she does like the Evora !

Your misses must be very short, I'm 5 3" and I fitted in my Elise fine.
Can't you reverse the rails the seat slides on?
It will slide further forward, but limit slightly the rearward travel.
I'm sure that's what I did with mine.

She's 5'2" - it was the fact that without it, she felt v uncomfortable but with it, it was absolutely fine so now trying to fine somewhere to get one.
She has said "yes" to getting the car, the least I can do is source something that makes it easier for her to drive.
Never thought about the rails although I'm loath to touch anything like that myself. I would probably muck it up and the result would be a disaster...

My wife's 5'2" so we had a booster made. We got a normal foam type orthopaedic pillow from costco around £5, then got some black leather look vinyl from a material shop and got a sewing place to cover it for us. Lokks the dogs- works brill and around £20 all in iirc.

It's a good few years since we had it made but any thick-firm foam cushion will do. mine measures approx 15x22x4" the foam on this one has a kind of egg box contour to it, as you can see in pics. I think the material was excess from when I had a hard top storage bag made!
good luck. Dunx.
Edit,---- I put the cd in the pic to give an idea of size- it's just right for the seat.

I'll have to learn how to post pictures better, but not bad for a first attempt, I can't work out why some didn't load correctly, hence the eddits

cheers.
