Hello All,

Following Esprit's interesting blog on his S1 Exige, I am going down the same route only:

1.)I've got a mint 9k miles S1 Exige
2.)I'm rubbish with a spanner

So I'm going for:

A colour change - from this:

to this:

thanks to seloc'r jvbates for the photoshot

plus some sticky tyres + racing exhaust.

Four weeks to transformation - watch this space....

Cool colour.
Are you getting it painted or wrapped?

Painted (meaning a total clamshell-break-out of the car) - photos to follow - have a week or so to agree on the colour....

Is that the car which was recently for sale? Nice choice though I have a certain laser blue bias...

It is - It came close to going off to France, but I had a change of heart - I've come to learn that if you have people chasing a car, it *can* sometimes be best not to sell it irked..... I learnt this lesson when I sold a mint S1 Exige in Chrome Orange for 21k and a Challenge Stradale for 80k.....

Consider this bookmarked James smile Take lots of photos of the process and post them up.

Mine will be getting a respray at some point (in original Titanium) and armourfended but that'll be a little way off as it's good enough at the moment and I just want to put some miles on the thing now and shake it down smile

Yeah, I guess it'll do. Nothing like a bit of Antipodean understatement!

Sincs / Essex autosport - good choice, always been very impressed with their work over the past 5 years or so - Interested to see the results as also considering a respray.

I think that photoshopped green is the nicest colour I've ever seen an S1 Exige in, it really suits it.

I didn't see your advert so I don't know how much you had it up for. France would have loved to get it's hands on it though. I live here and they pay very high prices for good low milage ones.

I have sold a few out here, alot of people just wouldn't believe what they could get for them out here.

Good keep, but I am a purist and I think it would be worth more in original condition.
Saying that, a lady backed in to my S1 111S and I sightly damaged a corner last year and another corner this weekend at Haute Sointogne, nr Bordeaux. So, maybe orange instead of black.
Edit: Take a look at this site in France, he buys Exiges and sells them for big, big money!

Any green flashes/accenting or straight black?

If you are going for a black alcantara steering wheel, some green stitching would link outside and inside very nicely.
