Trip to the Ring

Hi guys,

I will be going to the Ring in July , i was wondering if any of you have taken your cars over.

I have an S1 and have no intentions of blasting it around the circuit. I am going to get a service

before i go, is there anything else i need to do?

Make sure you have European breakdown/recovery insurance.

Are you taking it onto the circuit at all? If so, double check your insurance - it probably excludes the 'Ring.

As already mentioned your biggest issue will be insurance.

If you are going on a weekend in July a) check the circuit is actually open; and b) get your accommodation sorted quickly, it gets VERY busy.

If you don't want to drive the Ring on a tourist day there will be 2 track days with Destination Nurburgring on 18th & 19th July

I will be doing the Touristenfahrten scheduled for Sunday 17th July.

I may be there on Sunday. I'm planning to do the DN track days on Monday and Tuesday. If I still have insurance at that point I might do a few TF laps.

Its the VLN layout so slightly different from a TF day on the Nordschleife.

Will be there early April before Spa trackday and then again for about 10 days and will be doing the Destination Nurburgring trackdays on 20/21st April

The Circuit Days/LoT day at Spa - 4 April? I'll be at that and at the 'ring the day before.

Staying at Fuchsröhre (Michaela's new guest house - ex of the Blaue Ecke in Adenau) at the Ring on the Saturday night and then the Best Western L'Auberge on the Sunday evening only.
