Elise S1 left undriven for 5 months - starting back up?

Its an S1 111S and has just sat in the garage over winter. Is there anything I can do other than just turn the key when I restart it. There can't be much oil left near the pistons...

just start it as the oil will circulate stait away, i personally would leave it for half an hour just ticking over just to make sure, oh and dont do it again next year!! lol

Yes... do the usual, charge battery, oil, water checks etc, then remove spark plugs and disable fuel injection. Turn engine over on battery only for approx. 30 seconds a couple of times to prime oil galleries etc. Replace spark plugs and re-enable fuel injection. Start engine and listen for any abnormal engine noises... tappets etc.

This is what I do when I'm back in the UK for holiday after mine has been stood for more than 5 months.
