Annoyingly the PH search function is undergoing maintainence so I can't seach for what I'm suer is a q that has been asked before.

Am looking at buying a second hand Elise S2 (c.7-8 years old)
What is the service schedule and rough costs.
From what I gather a "C" service is c.£600 from and indy, more like closer to £1k from approved Lotus
Does it go A, C, A, C or A,A,C,A,A,C?
When are the recommended service intervals (I will prob drive less than 3k miles a year!)
Cost of an "A" service?

Thanks again.
Am gettting closer to ownership...

Obviously depends where you go but at a specialist it would be something like A - £100, B - £220 and C - £450. May vary depending on engine eg VVC and on what other work needed doing...

With an annual mileage of 3k once a year should be OK

As for order of services -

As noted in the TechWiki, AABAACAABAAC etc. and do it yearly or every 12k. Even if you're only doing 3k get it serviced or you'll suffer at sales time.

Isn't that only for K series? Besides Lotus reduced the cambelt change intervals, although the water pump was the real culprit
A mate with a K does an A ( oil/filter change and inspection every couple of years when he feels like it - watch the rear toe links). Take the side cover off to inspect the cambelt /water pump change the plugs and air filter and call it a B. Change the cambelt while you're there and make it a C.
It's a very straightforward car, all of the above is pretty cheap but whatever you do the headgasket can leak, an easy change, so budget £500 for a new one some day.
My take anyway smile
