Always keeping an eye on the adds. This last week cars seem to be flying out of showrooms. Prices seem firm. Good news for owners. Obviously theres a link with the arrival of better weather. woohoo

I strongly agree with Simpo. I'm trying to buy at the moment and anything low miles at a decent price disappears within a couple of days. The only cars that arent selling are either overpriced or high milegae.

February is traditionally one of the best months for used sports car sales.

My local Caterham dealer always says that demand exceeds supply in February and they often struggle for stock.

Nothing wrong with high miles, mine is year and half old and just broken 20k miles. Not expecting to sell until its got 50k miles on it hoping it will still have some value to someone.

More than wishful thinking. I watch for cars between 2006 and 2010, 15K to 21K. Autotrader had 39 6 days ago, 29 when I last looked. That to me is 25% sold in one week. If thats not good business I must be missing something. Then looked on PH with same criteria and see how many come up as sold. OK PH is a little slow on removing adds but nevertheless. Even high milers are selling but as has already been said its down to price, spec and condition. Nothing changes in this respect. Suffice to say, market seems quite dynamic to me considering current climate

Good to hear..... I stick 135R in the search criteria every now and then and not been any up for sale for a while. Then again mine would be high miles and overpriced wink

That's quite reassuring to hear as I'm contemplating selling my 06 as I just haven't been driving it much over the 4 years.

Could be time to sell

54,000 miles on mine and should be good for another 100,000+. I'd be more concerned buying a garage queen than a well used car, the hardly any mile examples all the seals and bushes perish and generally need a load spending on them.

I really can't see the point in an Elise/derivative as a garage queen. Their very raison d'etre is to be driven and driven hard. I did 9,000 miles in mine between the last two annual services, and every one was a genuine pleasure. If it's a rainy Sunday then get the stereo on in the garage and have a polishing session, otherwise the greatest pleasure you can derive is simply to get out on some decent roads and enjoy the tactility.

I could only afford one of it was my only car so sadly it does thousands of motorway miles a year, all worth ot though come the nice bends. Plus to be fair I find it very comfortable to spend well over an hour in. I do plqn on getting a second car at some point, but also keep looking at an lpg conversion as at £1500 would pay for itself in a year and a bit, plus I don't use the boot much anyway.

Don't say that! I'm looking at buying an Exige S, so tumbling prices would suit me just fine - they can then bounce back after I've bought one wink

Another good week for sales. Be nice to know how much the cars are actually going for to see if the prices are indeed holding up or whether cars are being 'discounted' to achieve a sale

My 111R is for sale at the moment. I'll update in due course with how things went. Compared to having sold more mainstream cars in the past, the level of enthusiasm and knowledge from enquirers is refreshing.

Cars are selling well. Another six in the last week(32 listed) Reminder of the criteria Im using-2006 or later, between 15K and 22K. No mileage limits although mostly under 50000 miles.

Only 3 111R's under 17k as well, last month there were several at 15k, but these have all been snapped up, and seemingly regardless of mileage

Money received and Elise has just been driven away from my house. Sad...
