I thought this was simply a battery issue, but now I'm beginning to wonder. The lights flash when I press the remote but the locks don't unlock. The little buttons / posts on the door frame move about 2 mm but thats it.

It can't be opened on the key.

I took the front planel off and found the battery posts, connected a fully charged booster pack to it, but nothing happened.

It could be the booster, but its almost new. Does anyone have another idea for getting into the car, so I can get the battery off and charge it properly?

Or anyone else experienced the same symptoms which turned out to be something else.

The central locking control module (CDL module)has probably gone. A new one is about £60 and there's a guide to fitting it on SELOC.

Mine went recently and it only took about 20 minutes to fit a new one, assuming it's in the same place on an Exige.

It's laughably easy to break into an Elise at least in under two minutes with a loop of wire, I'm guessing a similar technique would work for an Exige.

I still need to get in so I guess I am going to need to learn to become a bit handy with the wire. Any top tips /alternative methods anyone?

It might be better to PM them for peace of mind.

Thanks guys.
