Elise SC Jim Clark
Discussion
Hi Guys,
New to Lotus just need some advise please.
Could any one let me know the approx value of a Lotus Elise SC Jim Clark Type 75
This car is very clean, almost like new with 3000 miles on the clock.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I think of selling my Noble M12 GTO 3, to get the above.

that would be a Type 25...I dont think Jim Clark drove a '72
check the classifieds, its an Elise SC with a paint job, depends on age, mileage etc, £25K upwards it seems is the going rate for a couple of year old SC
Of course I'm biased, but it's a little more than a paint job Bogie check the classifieds, its an Elise SC with a paint job, depends on age, mileage etc, £25K upwards it seems is the going rate for a couple of year old SC
Has Exige dampers, 240R/211 wheels, A048s, sports seats, twin oil coolers, hardtop, traction control, not forgetting the wooden gear knob and some paint
They were a whisker under £37k OTR new, so £25-27k is probably fair enough.
Yep, there are three official S2 Type 25 variants in all...
From 2002-2004 there were standard K and VVC 111S K engined Type 25s. Easiest way to identify without looking at the engine is the standard cars have 6 spoke wheels and the VVC cars have 111S 8 spoke spider wheels.
In 2008 they released the Jim Clark SC Type 25 which is a Toyota engined car with various extra bits as above.
Standard K based Type 25 (50 made)
111S VVC K based Type 25 (either 25 or 50 made depending on where you read)
Jim Clark Type 25 SC (25 in UK, 25 in Europe, 25 in USA AFAIK)

I understood only 25 where made for the UK market and 25 for the rest of the world and most of those went to Japan.
I've been given first refusal on this car at £27K; it’s a big decision to change from a "Noble M12 GTO 3" to a "Lotus Elise SC Type 25 Jim Clark"
The Noble is not depreciating and neither will the Lotus I guess.
If I knew how to post a picture I would.

still one of the best variants IMO and likely some of the last to be made like that, now we have the new model

You've missed off the original one off prototype type 25 Elise built in 2001, before the production cars were sanctioned. It's green with a single fat yellow stripe, red perforated leather interior and is sitting in my garage.

Very well looked after.
Traded for an Evora.
Anybody buying one of these and hoping it is going to start appreciating is sadly delusional. It's a limited edition with a few extra bits on it, Lotus have made loads, it isn't going to go up in value, not for a long time if at all - it might hold it's value slightly better than standard cars, but no more imho.
