just wondering if anyone knows much or anything about the possibilities of a new Exige appearing this year? I have read the V6 rumours and if my memory serves me correctly Lotus announced last year's face-lifted 2011 Elise last February, meaning perhaps something is possible soon. I am currently abroad so don't get to see magazines and a web search doesn't turn up anything new.
If the V6 rumour is true, it will pretty pricey and the last of the RGB models might be a good buy. I haven't been on SELOC but just wondered if any one knew anything here?

Someone that should know told me last week that the evora engine is going in and that it would look more like the gt car they did, i.e. wider track. Will just have to wait and see I guess, but I agree about the expensive bit!

They have been running an Exige with an Evora engine since the start of the development of the Evora, this is nothing new

I fully expect the Exige at the motor show to have the Evora engine, it will also cost around 50k +

A Supercharged engine which takes power of the Evoras V6 from 276bhp to 345bhp at 7,000rpm, whith torque from 258lb ft std to 295lb ft Supercharged at 4,000rpm could be interesting, though at what kerb weight, and is it going to feel "revvy" enough?

Indeed,

Not like a Honda but very good all the same,

Lotus really should take note and drop this into the Elise, if possible strip away some of the nonsense too. This would clean up the track day market and give them the edge going forward. No need for any other conversion's, when sales start to slow in 3 or so years offer a SC/tuning options this would easily take them right up to the production the Elise S3. Not my company thoutongue out
