On my way up to the Autosport show the other week, whilst waiting for my mate to turn up I popped into Silverstone Lotus to kill a bit of time. Contemplating how I was gonna fill an hour talking bullsh!t to some salesman who knew full well I had no interest in buying another Lotus I walked through the door and was pleasantly greated by the prettiest little blonde girl offering me a cup of tea! Result!!
So after an hour of talking cars, bikes, girlfriends, sex an awkward silence and generally shameful flirting we touched on the topic of Lotus briefly and ironically had I not been asked to leave the dealership and never return (something to do with eccessive salivating) I would have pretty much signed anything she asked me to.
Hmmm, maybe it's a deliberate sales technique??

Many moons ago I worked in the advertising dept of a well know motoring mag. There were a couple of dolly birds employed whose duties included visiting difficult dealers (giving the telesales team a hard time) and present them with a bottle of bubbly - 'Tosser of the week award'. Very often resulted in difficult dealer becoming a client.
ended up with a fiance!
