road trip to stockholm

im doing a road trip from southampton to stockholm in an exige,
looking for a recommendation for a hotel night stop in amsterdam, any thoughts, then a saturday drive straight through to stockholm, has anyone driven this route before? any issues with the roads

Amsterdam to Stockholm is a fair old way in one day. When I did something similar (but not as far as Stockholm), I stayed in Copenhagen overnight instead.

Also, I took the Harwich-Hook of Holland overnight ferry which helps break the trip up. So it was home (Berks) to Harwich one evening, Hook of Holland to Copenhagen (via the Puttgarden - Rødby ferry which is very frequent), then up into Sweden the next day.

Might be going to Finland this year and if so will be taking the same route.

Like the man says, thats a fair old hike in one day.
An alternative route is to go to the tip of denmark, maybe stay a night there and then take the ferry (there is a fast or slow one) to göteborg, quick stop at the volvo museum then drvie from stenugnsund to uddevalla via 4 suspension bridges very beautiful and then drive via vänern a blooming big lake, though the shoreline views are a bit crap cos there are trees in the way. Then straight from karlstad to stockholm on the boring motorway.
Im guessing one way you will want to do the öresund bridge (mälmo to copenhagen)
Theres also some pretty tasty bridges between the danish islands and a posh german island called sylt just south of the danish border.
