Doubt you'll find any novice "noisy" days - they are rare, expensive, & always popular with race spec Porsche/Ferrari etc, amongst other track orientated cars being driven by experienced drivers.

Stick your original silencer back on, & enjoy your car on the track, mate! smile

Hi Pesky,

Many months ago you kindly took me round Donny & it left a lasting impression! I'm now looking at an Exige myself, & I remember you mentioning a place in Loughborough. Could you let me have any details? Many thanks & hope to see you on track at some stage, cheers

By the way, I'm in the same boat - Novice looking for a first trackday to have a go at and struggling to find something suitable (one that is in the general midlands area and that is Ok for a 1st timer) - all the LoT ones in the midlands seem quite serious - so if anyone has any good suggestions then post it up.........

The Bedford day on 5th Feb is perfect? And Stowe on 19th Feb?

Bedford is perfect for your first track day and LoT TDs are superb. One issue with Bedford though is noise. Put your cat pipe back in, standard exhaust and you should be Ok. Its also worth bearing in mind that taking a K powered Elise much beyond 5,750 rpm is hardly worth the effort but the extra noise might get you kicked off track.

Your probably safer on a normal trackday especially with expesive cars. Just keep an eye on your mirors for quicker stuff. I used my old Exige at the ring etc but bought a cheap MK2 Golf GTI thats been stripped etc to start doing some trackdays this year as I dont want to risk my new Exige on track. Some cheap days at Oulton and Mallory park in Feb.

No track in the land would allow that dustbin of an exhaust on a trackday wink

Thought I recognised the log in name. You met myself and Si (Psychobert on here) at JCT when we turned up in his yellow Tamora.

Have you still got the Tamora?
Or did you buy a Lotus?

Hi mate,

The Tam was actually Si's car - he's happy with the Tiv so it was me looking at the Lotus. Haven't bought one yet (wasn't keen on the yellow RGB edition) but sold my Porsche so keeping eyes peeled. wink
