Excuse me barging in to your room, but I spotted this yesterday at a car meet here in France. Seems a great idea, since you can take the "gullwings" off and put them in the boot it seems. Can you enlighten me?

Secondly, I spotted this lookalike but have no idea what it is. Over you you cognoscenti.

I think the hardtop is an aftermarket one. I've seen a few for sale on eBay.

The second car is a Donkervoort.

The hardtop is an aftermarket thing, I think they modify an existing Lotus hardtop rather than building it from scratch, though.

We have several, but this is a local club which meets monthly in the Sarthe. The other is first Sunday of the month at Leclerc north of Le Mans

Hi and thanks for the reply. Hoping to make the Lotus meeting at La Ferté Gaucher in March. Who knows, might pass by Le Mans one weekend

Known as a Fatboy roof, replacement for the original roof and manufactured as a direct part for Lotus.

If anyone is interested in one then please let me know
