I have a elise 2001 S2 with key fob But the Plastic casing with the activation button is broke So now has the risk of getting damp into the electronics of the key..Lotus inform me that the keyfob used on this model supplied by Meta systems are no longer avaliable. Problem '1' i can not locate the key code card..So would be possible to progrsm fob only system and How can i over come this problem Plus does any body know where i could obtain a plastic casing if only the alarm activation part or a meta blank key and fob...Regards Viner

Casings are available from here:

With the Meta systems, if you don't have the keycard, I don't think you can re-programme a fob.... however, you can return the whole unit to abacus and I think they can do it and return it with a new keycard and as many coded fobs as you like?

£25 for a small piece of black plastic. Nice money spinner for Abacus. The rubber grommet perished on my spare key. Fixed it with an insert made from a rubber! - held in with self amalgamating tape wrapped around the key fob casing
