haven't seen the car so maybe it's been ragged to death, but on the face of it seems quite a fair price for an interesting S1

I just love those wheels on a Mk1

Looks pricey for the mileage. 111S spoiler and Sport 160 wheels, but just a standard S1 otherwise (normal engine, no headlight covers). Nasty red steering wheel too.

Factory fitted with a fair bit of stuff according to the ad, and generally factory produced one-offs (not just talking about Lotus) command a premium where home grown mods don't. Appreciate it may not be to everyones taste, but I like it. What are the lightweight clams by the way - Thinner material?

D'oh, didn't read the description.

I thought the Motorsport clams were the Exige style ones?

They allegedly made lighter clams for the Sport 190 Elise, but I've never seen any information or evidence of what they did to make them lighter.

I like it. Does look in good nick. Interested to know what the blueprinted engine will do for me.

Not sure the Lotus sports suspension is much of a selling point. Isn't it supposed to be cack? Close ratio box and the wheels are nice to have though.

It looks like it may even not have an arch liner fitted. I would imagine they get worn through fairly rapidly with that ride height on LSS.

Its just a 111S with some S160 bits stuck on, isn't it? And lightweight clams? Unless they're carbon fibre I'm sure they're standard, ditto the blueprinted engine sounds a bit far-fetched.

I'm sure "A1 Performance" are just trying to 'big it up' for the advert.

Don't think its a 111S, doesn't look like a VVC engine and no headlight covers.

It's not. It's a standard car that's been sent *somewhere* to be fettled and have some other bits put on it. Looks expensive for what it is if you ask me.

I see the "overspray" as well.

Bound to have had a clam re-spray, I can't see any stone chips.

Ad lists the mods factory fitted from new to create a one-off for Mark Waldren. If that is true then it is an interesting and fairly unique factory car, for about £1,000 more than an equivalent standard car (dealer prices remember). The Victories are worth half of that, so doesn't sound bad at all to me. Presumably any serious potential buyer could check out the story with the factory before taking the plunge.

According to the story here he spent £150,000 on a 1400cc Turbocharged Elise the year before, so seems odd he'd then buy a pretty much standard one the following year?

Only other search results are adverts for this car.
