Hello everyone. Im looking at buying a S1 elise as I'll be buying a new house this year with a garage this time so Im finally allowed an elise. I really love the scandal green colour after seeing one two years ago at an airfield day. Were there a limited number produced as I dont see many for sale?. Were they limited to a certain model of the elise?. Any responce would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I think they produced about 16 or was it 19 scandal green S160's.

If you're after one I'm thinking of selling mine in the new year. So drop me a PM and I'll tell you before I sell it.

What sort of price do they go for then. They obviously dont come up for sale often so gauging a price is quite hard. Thanks

Think there was one for £14k or £16k (my memory is terrible!) from Pure Lotus (dealer) in Sept 09 when I was looking. Had done around 40k IIRC. Generally they command around a 2k premium I believe.

Agreed, I thought this was only on Sport 160 models (I guess they might have done it on others as a special order?).

If I could afford a Sport 160 right now I'd be holding out for one in that colour smile

Email the factory and ask them. I did that when I was looking for a white one with blue interior and they told me how many white ones had been sold.

scandal green was also available on the s1 111s and the exige... i have seen one of each.

of course it is best known on the s160... i think they made about 7 sva s160's in scandal... i owned one of the them...

if you spot one for sale, jump on it as i would suggest that scandal green s160's are becoming one of the most collectable s1 elise variants and the time is now coming where the s1 elise is a classic and the more collectable ones will cease changing hands in normal ownership every couple of years.

Meh, a £2k premium for a paint colour. You'd be mental.

Rather buy an Elise that you know to be good, and spend £2.5k on a full respray from someone good and get the paint in absolute first-class condition, rather than whatever it's like now, 10 years after it was slapped on by someone in a shed in Norfolk.
