What the hell is with that first photo - the car looks like Lightning McQueen!! The photos aren't great - looks like a couple have been 'enhanced'!
Anyway onto the car, I can't see that it's had too many mods apart from the harnesses and removable steering wheel - both of which are a little odd to have on their own - could mean it's been a track car, or it could mean the owner was safety conscious - may be worth checking.
Exhaust & Wheels are non-standard by the looks of it, the description is fairly minimal isn't it!
The 'safety features' section of the advert says that it has seatbelt pre-tensioners - maybe worth checking the standard inertia reels are included. Harnesses with those seats are a right bugger (as opposed to proper harness seats with the holes) - that's from first hand experience as I have harnesses and standard seats, with no reels - it can be tiring, but can be lived with.
It does make me laugh when I see an Elise advertised as having 'body coloured bumpers' the bumpers ARE the body!! The decals are OK, stripes look massively wide and don't go down the back which is a shame, and not sure about the side bits - if anything they will be good for protecting that part of the sill that can get quite chipped - may look better in the flesh.
No carpet behind the seats could suggest it's a very standard car with no touring pack (not sure if the carpet was part of the tpack or not) - maybe the owner just took it out for weight saving
Check if it has got air conditioning. Tyres look like Toyo T1R's - perfectly acceptable day to day tyre.
Other than that from what you can see, it looks nice and clean, tidy and shiny.
Good luck hunting

That looks like the 111R which belonged to a chap in NYLOC. Can you find out the location of the previous owner? Try putting it into the public section of the www.nyloc.org forum and see where that gets you. He helped out with some runs at a charity event last summer. Very loud as I recall...
