Front compartment in elise s2?

Just bought my first Elise (2001 S2 Sport tourer) and wondered whats in the front and how you get to it, do I even need to get to it?

no need to worry about access to the front cover, unbolts to give access to radiators etc so service related items only

If your windscreen washers don't shoot out water you'll be wanting to fill it up under there

Or is it different on the earlier S2's?

So I assume its just a standard(ish) alan key to get into it.

the allen key should be in the tool pouch in the boot pocket

under the passenger side are fuses/relays and the washer bottle (which is tiny so lasts about a weeks use in winter)

under the drivers side is your brake/clutch fluid cylinder...no real need to take this off that often.

If its a daily driver then Id recommend the quick release fastener kit from www.hangar111.com

The std allen bolts are long and it can take you a careful 20mins to get into the bloody washer bottle (its easy to scratch the paint)
