I found out lesterday that those bolt things that hold the carpets in ... are glued to the tub. I know this because one has come off!

Add that to the peeling leather on the seat and the extra money from the basic car is looking less and less worth paying. It was always expensive, but now that all the added extras are falling to bits it's getting silly.

Yes exactly - Just could not work out how Lotus can develop a glue which will bond aluminuim together but cannot manage to use one that will glue trim.

Get yourself a set of carpet mats because their easy to clean and the real carpet wont get hashed .
I dont beleive that the leather is coming off .I have never felt elise leather what is it like [ie. is it like the leather they put in the Jags or is it like the Baseball glove Audi TT]

The carpet in my Sports Tourer is also loose and has been since I picked it up.

I don't understand why it isn't bolted to the floor, but its going in to get fixed this week anyway.
