For those who like looking at other peoples cars (i know that sounds very Readers Wives) please see below some before and after pics of mine (car that is) now that i have finally had the hard top fitted.
I striped the hard top myself which is a massive achievement for someone as useless at DIY as me.Now that im an "expert" on striping im probably going to change the orange one to black.

haha, i love the way people call that bloody stripe red. Its orange and the reason im changing it is because people keep saying its red.

As an Evertonian i wouldnt have anything red near me, my house, my kids or my car.rolleyes

They are finished in athracite i believe. Part of their "special edition".
Personally i would prefer black and their replacement may be next on my list.

Can't see an orange stripe, but I like the black stripes.
The red stripe looks a bit odd though - I'd change that if I were you laugh

Well the red stripe is at least going down, which seems appropriate somehow.

Eh?

Must be a true blue-blooded old-money product of superior breeding… where were you educated? Sounds like that chap on my train to London who wears his daily-wear wristwatch he hasn't cleaned for months… except it's a Patek annual calendar - that's more than £40,000 round his wrist, and yes I'm a watch geek and no, it's not fake.

I'm not a follower of association football but Everton… aren't they better known for rather tasty confectionery? As in the black and white mint things? If you're so hard-core why not stripe your Lotus white and black?

Or is my complete lack of 'football' knowledge showing through and Everton don't wear the white and black striped kit any more?

Your car looks fantastic with the hard top on. Love the colour, What is it?

One suggestion - Change the thin black stripes to match the red one on the rear wheel arch. Would look really good then. If you don't like the wheels you could always have them resprayed to match said stripe.

regards from titanium owner with black wheels.

Everton Mints are indeed associated with my club and we have a lady "distribute" them to the crowd before every home game. One such distribution almost took my eye out!!

The watch stuff above sailed right over my head im afraid.

My first ever spotted.

I went down Livery Street on my way to Colmore Row, i go down there once a month.

Dont recall a flash though, sorry for not spotting you. * edited - In fact i do recall a flash, was you behind the car that was crawling up the St then stopped without indicating or flashing me out meaning i waited to get out for no reason until you very kindly let me out?

Love the colour! better with hard top on IMO, I've taken mine off about three times in the year and half I've had it.

Totally agree about the hard top. Ive never really seen or indeed felt the benefit of the soft top in the Lotus. Other convertibles yes but not the Lotus.

It certainly is TvR, i drove straight there the day i picked my car up to have the stripes put on.

I had my previous car serviced thee and cant speak highly enough of the lads, the service and indeed the prices they charge.

Well worth a visit by anyone in the North West.

Its yet another special edition Elise, hopefully not too many others about of the same colour.
