Gents

As we all know the Exige chassis can take a lot more power than Lotus provide and so I have been looking into the option of buying a supercharged Exige and fitting a intercooler such as the Komo-tec 320S to push the power up to 320 bhp, can anyone out there advise on the merits of such upgrades by means of in intercooler rather than relying on ducted air flow and whether anyone in the Surrey area has had the upgrade performed?

What about other upgrades ? Clutch and gearbox will go with that power in standard spec.

Personal experience of both.

Need to upgrade fuel system also.

would the upgrades associated with the 240 bhp Performance Pack be sufficient?

At 320bhp and > 200lb/ft your pushing the limits of the gearbox and internals of the engine not to mention wearing things out more quickly like brakes, toe links and suspension.

There isn't much information or feedback on the komotec kit publicly available but the owners who have them seem to be happy. There are several other options for tuning a Exige S 240...just depends on how much you want to pay and what reliability risks you want to take.

put simply, no.

the gearboxes are breaking on cars with way less than 300bhp, clutches are also a problem (although at lest that's relatively easy to solve).

Also, you would want to deal with the engine mounts, fuel system, brakes, etc
