I am currently looking to have the ECU on my Elise S2 checked out due to an idle speed problem.
I have seen several adverts concerning repairing ECU's but would appreciate any feedback anyone may have
concerning a reputable company ( and contact number) they can maybe recommend.

Thanks.

I guess you have been through the usual idle checks before pointing at the ECU? If so, I believe some people on Seloc have had ecu repairs done and best to look on there.

You don't mention which type of elise s2.?. Do you have "K" series rover or toyota model.

Its a Rover K-engined car, and to date vacuum lines and hoses have been checked, Stepper motor checked Ok, and the throttle body removed and cleaned in case valve may have been sticking.
Garage has suggested the ECU should be checked out so hence trying to find a reputable company to do this.

Have a chat with this guy

Ronnie Gibson, Vitesse Electronic Systems, 10 Main Street, Bilton, Rugby, Warwickshire CV22 7BN. 01827 64555

He has loads of experience with Rover K Series ECUs - he did all the ECU checking and diagnostics for the Caterham series I used to race with.
