Got pulled last night for not having a front plate. Fair cop but it's annoying as it constantly gets nocked off when I leave my driveway, I normaly notice as I drive off or it's still there when I get home but this time I did it it's gone missing. They also went over the whole car and I cautioned me about my rear tyres so I now need to get them sorted and get the car inspected again and pay the 30 bucks fine. Ass!

Look on the bright side, you've paid £30 for a period of speed Truvelo/laser speed camera security. That was to be my philosophy if I ever got fined for having no plate.

Makes me think if we could legally have a smaller plate we would not get them knocked off all the time.

I'm about to order a smaller plate for the front. Never heard of someone being pulled for them.

You don't ride a bike then? Bill are constantly pulling us over for such trivia as small plates, dark visors, 'illegal exhausts' which are legal, and 'just to check your documents ma'am' ... think yourself lucky.

Dan I've heard of a few people being pulled for small plates. 3 strikes and your reg can be seized leaving you with a Q plated Elise...nice!

I ordered my new plate from fancyplates and requested that they make it as small as legally possible. Will let you know how it turns out.

Agree with Cuz they look poop, plus they're actually illegal too. It's a real pain though as the S1 looks hella good with no front plate.

Never had a problem with ours... even angled under the nose slightly too (sorry not best pic for showing size):
