Elise 111S Market it right
Discussion
As I am a keen Elise fan, especially drawn to the S1 111S. I saw one up forsale on PH when it appeared that looked interesting. Here is the add: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1992880.htm
The pictures really didn't do it justice, so he gave it away for less than £10k, maybe even £9k
New add today, a lovely looking 111S springs up forsale, yes you got it, the same car but marketed as it should be. In fact it is not hard; clean the car and take pictures on a nice day with no condensation in the car and get one of the Sprint 170 engine with a red cam cover. Here is the car again: www.pistonheads.com/sales/2039604.htm
Yes I wish I had bought it but got too many as it is! Good luck, however much he is selling it for; my guess is £15k upward.

I tried to call the seller a number of times about the car when it was a private advert, following an email that he responded to on the day it was advertised. I guess the dealer got there first!
I also tried to get the 111s for sale at Paragon over the BH weekend, advert now de-lsited, titanium with red hood, 30k miles. That was sold over the phone to france, even though i had booked to go and see it the following day (the earliest i could make it down).
So few good S1 111s around (low mileage etc) and they go so fast, i hear there are dealers in France buying anything they can get hold of, over the phone, to import due to the good (for them) exchange rate. So UK dealers get them fast as they know there is a good market.
I couldnt hold out any longer, need a car having sold my old 2nd car (caterham), so I have gone down the S2 route instead. Non-VVC but the close ratio box and all the other benefits that the S2 brings. I still love the s1 shape but will just continue to admire from afar!

I bought the first one that Paragon Porsche had this year; S1 111S with 20k on the clock for £11900. I bought it over the phone and when I went to pick it up the guy told me 3 french specialists wanted it. Must admit, it was very clean when I saw it for real, very happy I got it.
They do come up, just got to be quick, very quick. S1's are the future classic!
