Just tried the search, but it is down at the moment, so looking for your input here.

I am Considering an induction kit for my 54 plate 111R, any recommendations? Sound is the only benefit I am looking for, but if it releases a couple of horses, then who's to complain.
I have Lotus stage 1 exhaust, and Hangar 111 ecu flash to lower the cam to 5700, if that makes any difference to the recommendations.

Cheers

I've had hurricane kits on both my 111r and 111s and both gave a lovely induction roar. Get my recommendation.

I've got K & N Apollo. No complaints, although I've no experience of the competition to judge it by I'm afraid.

Hi - I had a pipercross Viper on my elise when i bought it and replaced with a Hurricane - Hurricane is much better imho - throatier induction noise.

Havent expereinced others on the elise but ITG are meant to be good albeit more expensive.

I had an ITG and Stage 1... youtube 21TonyK and you'll find a sound clip. IMHO dump that stage 1 and get something 3rd party. As for more HP? Custom map might give you a fraction but you'll need a decent manifold as well. Better off taking out the carpets and anything in the boot to improve the BHP per tonne unless you want to go the route of stripping the car bare and drilling holes in the chassis.

You'll be wanting a Hurricane and a Lotus Stage 2 in that case.

I have these, and while my closest neighbour has a 360 Spider, the other neighbours (all petrolheads) think my car sounds 'better'.

Aww bless... a Toyota 4-pot v. a throbbing V8. How he hates that. biggrin
