Hello All,

I've been going a bit crazy with the buying/selling of cars recently and to cap it off I picked this up on Saturdaysmile It's an S1 Lotus Exige with only 7.5k miles on the clock and hence a minter!

I'll be down at the Goodwood Breakfast Club tomorrow, so will try and take a few additional photos then.

Stunning. Just about the only car I'd trade my S2 Exige for.

Per post on Seloc - Out early doors this morning & took a few more pics before I left - totally smitten by the car now - here's what a 7.5 miles S1 looks like smile:

Awesome and beautiful car. I think that there are some types of car that are pretty much perfect choices for certain applications regardless of cost, just fitting a niche perfectly, and I think the S1 Exige is one of them - and it looks like you've got a good one there.

601 for sure smile

In the engine bay pic, up against the firewall, is that oil cooler lines along the firewall on the upper right hand side? that doesn't look standard?

VERY tidy looking though.... is it just as clean/corrosion free underneath and on the rear subframe? If so, it's a pearler!

I *think* you're refering to the Air-Con pipes? I don't know anyone who has ever got the system to work and I even requested the dealer refresh the system before buying - opening the window has a greater cooling effectsmile

As for underneath/subframe - all of it is in mint condition - part of me feels guilty driving it, but I'll take some pictures when I get a chancebiggrin

Looks awesome. Did you take the A283/285 down to Goodwood? I passed a blue S1 Exige so it must have been you - I was heading north in an old red Alfa GTV - and I have to say, the car looked absolutely incredible.

Aah, of course... aircon, I forgot about that :P (Mine's a non-aircon car, something I was specifically looking for).

But yeah, I agree most people reckon it's pretty hopeless at the best of times smile

Don't feel guilty about driving it... just keep it well cleaned and whenever it's winter, for god's sake don't drive it on the wet roads with the salt residue! My car was driven on winter roads in the UK perhaps a handful of times in its lifetime and it's amazing the damage that was done.... thankfully nothing that can't be put right though!

What number is yours duggan? (Last three numbers of the VIN)

I suspect it may not be clean enough for you! You sir, however are a legend!

God, I would need one of these. Just beautiful.

just to even out the balance, a pic of what a daily used one looks like
the AO48s proved to be slightly useless in the snow.
