Hi people just writing this to let you know may help someone!.

Took my car car to webbs autos (aka tvrbodyshop.co.uk and lotusbodyshop.co.uk), they were very helpful leading upto the service ringing to advice on prices and explained exactly what they did in the b service, i booked up last week and was told would need the car all day.

On the morning 9:30 they rang me to check what time i would arrive, told them about 11 is that ok, no problemo i was told. Upon arrival was, greeted by friendly face and some smooth looking tvrs, elan, exige and a very sad looking tvr..looked like it had been hit by a

I asked what time i could pick the car up, well thats tommorow now. Oh, hang on you rang me earlier and you never told me!! keep in mind now people me and girlfriend in my car 20 miles from home. Bugger.

After a talk to Robin Macintosh Workshop Manager he explained car needs a lot of time to get done, as i was haveing braided hoses and brake fluid changed also i could see i peed him off a tad with my minmal understanding of the whole thing!!, but i wasnt told at any point of a time to arrive.

Anyway they offered a loan car (did ask for a tvr..), but decided train was easier so he kindly dropped us off at the local station,on the way he explained they could have picked my car up and dropped off on a huge truck i was a little mad, in my mind i just thought some lads would pick it up and drive it gently back to nailsea-which i was not going to let happen.

Message left on phone today to advise car was ready..yeah! So off we went, arrived to see the skip (sorry my yellow elise) outside looking clean.

Went in and paid up (painful i know!). I was advised that my fuel pump was "loud" and ball joints are wearing, as for the pump he had never heard one like mine! so couldnt advise if it was going to die or just how it was, and is to advise on price for fuel pump and ball joints...

Also had brake fluid changed and stainless brake hoses put on to .

He advised the car was in top condition well looked after by previous owners even commented on the colour as they generally see only silver or blue!

Upon getting in the skip (sorry my yellow elise) i realised how different it all was!!!! the brakes are crap at the moment, but i did expect that for a while..

All in all expensive (not compared to williams in bristol), car feels better now much happier...i was fairly impressed they seem to know whats what and he gave me a 15 minute talk on hgf...i switched off after first 2 mins i confess!!..

So im happy so far car feels good, im happier its all ok...and so far would recommend webbs autos..

Ps wheres drag we miss you..

Sounds great service .. one of the worst problems any garage will face is someone booking in for a service *we'll need the car ALL DAY* .. and they turn up mid to late morning .. you can't pack 7 hours work into 5 hours unless you skimp on something.
to be fair to webbs they did everything by the book

glad you thought you got a good deal from them, I've spoken to jason (i deal through tvr body shop of course) and he's always very pleasant and courteous)

good show Webbs

Ah good, have you had work done there??? i know they couldnt pack it all in just annoying they didnt actually say we need the car by certain time, as i did ask when i booked it in..

On the whole yes im happy, i feel if someone does you proud tell someone else, because they deserve the work, williams in bristol (main dealer) were less the helpful, as the elise i bought had the mot done there before i bought it.. webbs were also £100 cheaper for the b service to.

Anyone had any body work done here?

I Had a bit of a run-in with a milk crate last week which made a bit of a mess of the front clam. I got a couple of quotes and Webbs were by far the cheapest.
