Love the orange bits on the seats too.

Never seen a facelifted Exige without the roof before. For some reason it looks better without the roof than the previous car used to (without the roof).

Having driven a latest spec Exige at the 'ring and at Spa this year, I can't speak highly enough about they way they drive on road and track. Utterly sublime. And, purely from a driving point of view, better than most cars cost 3 times as much.

so you went back from a Noble into that Exige?
I thought the Noble was more like a grown up Exige...

what is the better thing? in a Exige compared to a Noble...

nice car by the way.

Bought from a private buyer in London, 4k miles. The cars a big jump after my old 57 plate exige s. Performance pack brakes and extra power are awesome. The noble was fantastic but really heavy on juice and a bit of a handful in comparison and I could never get comfortable with the driving position.

Looks marvellous thumbup

Tell me, can you not see a thing - anything - behind the car using the rear view mirror in an Exige, or is it possibly to see at least something?

If the view is zero, how big a problem is that when driving on the roads? (Yes, it worries me!)

It's not bad just like driving a panel van. Doesn't bother me at all to be honest!

Yeah works gp, great car. Keeping the exige off the salty roads later in the year.

So the good feeling/sit behind the wheel is better in that Exige, never driven in a Noble sadly, only in a take a seat behind the wheel in a showroom 2x, thought it felt pretty normal? the Exige ofcorse sits perfect.

a while ago I also have a sit(not driven) in a CAV GT40 but that felt strange...your legs not straight and the look around not that good by feeling? not a car you step in and drive the first time flat out on a circuit so to speak biggrin

in a Lotus you "can"

The noble had a very offset driving position, took a little getting used to.. I never felt as comfortable driving the noble as I do in a lotus. Like you say a lotus feels like you can jump straight in and drive quite quick. The noble m400 has a more normal driving position over the 3r I had. Straight line pace in the nob was breathtaking mind!

MWUAHAHAHAAAA!!!!!!!

Knew you'd be back eventually mate. The Noble's an intense hit but even though it's a great car, the Exige handles better and tells you what's going on more.

Definitely agree the big brakes and PP are a useful step forward - got them on mine too and hopefully my old brake 'fear' will be gone at Brands next Weds.

Incidentally, if you've got the PP and big brakes, then you'll already have big injectors, high flow fuel pump, stronger clutch, and larger capacity intercooler. Which means the Motorsport ECU can be fitted, which is usually 260 PS. But a chap at Lotus Motorsport can tweak the map for 270 PS. And with no additional parts required, just an ECU swap, it's £450 for 270 PS.

It's a Lotus part, factory approved, warrantied, insurance? Well it's part of the PP no? wink Download the map? hehe

Seriously, that's a Max Exige so long as you're sticking with the 6 speed Toyota gearbox… more torque / power will bust it (I know the difference between torque and power, but I don't believe the Motorsport ECU increases power via raising the rev limit, so with 270 PS (wassat in bhp?) we're getting near the gearbox safe limit).

Sounds like your car is similar to mine. Welcome back fella biggrin
