Hi guys

Could do with some advice - I'm using my Elsie S2 for my wedding to turn up in and need to do the whole wedding ribbons bit on it. Has anyone on here done that? How did you attach the ribbon so it stayed on whilst driving and where did you attach it to?

TIA

I would guess you could just put the tow hook in the go through that and up to the wing mirrors?

If you go to the wing mirrors the ribbons will be flat on the bonnet. Remove the roof and fix them to the inner edge/sunblind.

I tied them to the wingmirrors and down to the tow hook in a big V, as stated above ribbons then flat over bonnet but it looked good, also some bows from mirrors. Will try to see if I can find any pics. One thing to bear in mind - my v nervous and lotus-inexperienced best man had to drive me to the church, he kept getting the wrong pedals, I think it was my most nervous 5 miles ever and nothing to do with the fact that I was getting married!!!

How can he get the pedals wrong unless he's American and/or drives Autos?

I think they're a bit closer together than his normal car, just clumsy and hitting gas when going for break!

A very apt post. OrangeD and I finally booked our wedding date for next year today biggrin

The Exige will definitely be playing a part in our day too, but also hoping to pull in some favours from some other fellow buddies to round up a fleet or Loti and other exotica, hopefully anyway - we'll see wink

What colour ribbon goes with bright green hehe

Yay thumbup

Found these. A bit 'arty' to give a good view but they'll give an idea (note earlier comments and lack of numberplate, which got taken off during some dodgy driving moves.......

and for info - this was the actual wedding car that the wife turned up in (not ours, we rented it)

Thanks folks - that's given me some ideas and the photos are useful as that is exactly what I'm going to try and do

p.s. if you are thinking of this as your main wedding car bear in mind the compatibility of your chosen lady, in a potentially impractical outfit trying to maintain an effortless air of elegance and sophistication at all times having to wrestle herself into a Lotus whilst a gaggle of people take pictures - you might need to ask first or it might be a short marriage ;-)

p.p.s. I hope you'll have the best day of your life, I did, and 18 months later have a small daughter who is making me very happy.
