Having owned my MY99 Elise for just over a week now, I am trying to get used to the handling (compared to my Impreza which I had before) I was wondering if anyone had experimented with tyre pressures and if you have any recommendations. I am running the standard P Zero's (185/205) on standard rims. Suspension wise the car is completely standard. I read that 23/24.5 (or so) is recommended in the handbook, but my car was running 27 all round when I picked it up from the dealer. Any ideas? Thanks Did

For goodness sake return them to recommended pressures! The Elise is VERY sensitive to tyre pressures.

Ditto.. put standard pressure in. Unless you are planning to go on a track, then you might experiment a bit. Peter

I had a rather nasty episode in my elise after a few weeks of ownership - spun it quite violently at only 35mph. When I checked the tyre pressures they were about about 4psi up all round !!
