After 3 months of waiting, I saw the hardtop I ordered with a 111s, only to find a very poor paint job, and scratches on the ends (looks like it has been stood on the ground). Now after another 3 months of waiting to get it sorted they now tell me that they have lost it. To top all of that they have closed the Kings Lotus branch in Oxford (the people I have been dealing with). I should have known they were a bit dodgy when they didnt know how to remove the roll bar, or where the bars for softtop were stored (the wife came home in drizzle with no roof! - very messy). So a word of caution to you all - the 'Lotus approved' dealer badge doesnt seem to mean an awful lot anymore.

I had a similar problem with Kings Lotus in Oxford. The one it Warwick is Ok though, and the people seem to be honest. Stick with it!

Oxford Lotus place is bad. Booked a test drive twice with them, and each time I arrived no car was available. The sales guy also gave my wife the creeps. This was not an easy purchase for my wife (who likes family cars!)... so this Oxford Lotus place just about killed my chance of purchasing. The Lotus 'umbrella' always seems friendly and honest. It seems the boom in this market specifically seen by Lotus seems to have lowered dealer standards - come on Lotus get your act together, sort these opportunistic dealers out. Wannabe Lotus car owner.
