Got my grubby mits on a billy bargain harness bar for the S1. It's the type for wrap around harnesses, is this going to be ok or is it advisable to get bolt on harnesses?

For wrap arounds to be safe, you need seats with harness holes in them. Otherwise they can spread and thats not very safe.

Harenesses in an Elise are a bit of a pain to be honest, as lotus recommend you don't retain your original belts because the fastenings aren't up to it with both a harness and buckle being held by one bolt. Plenty of dealers fit it like this anyway, but it seems to miss the point. Why fit a safety item like that when according to lotus its not safe...

I'm not sure abot that Dan. All I know that when I first tried my harnesses in the 340R, it has to be one of the best features of the car.

You feel part of the car and can control it *alot* better.
