Not sure if it was on here but I heard that underneath the black gear lever theres a nice shiny one just dying to be uncovered! Is there?! I don't really wanna make a mess if there isn't but think it would look nicer silver I mean the long stem underneath my knob

Thanks for any help

Fitted my new gearknob, bought a Snooper S4 and a new Pioneer headunit too!

yep - carefully cut the plastic coating then peel it off...then a bit of a polish up with some Autosol should do the trick...alternatively by a short shift gearstickk for £100

Just taken off the black coating and its more of an oily gold colour than shiny silver Guess I'll have to buy the short shift gearstick now

No, the gold coating rubs off. Just keep buffing it with Autosol and it'll come out shiny and silver.

How do you fit those shiny gate things? do they just stick onto the existing plastic?

Beechy - You have to drill 3 holes into the plastic (which was a bit scary) and just tighten the allen keys up and thats it! Takes about 15minutes

Steff - Being a GJOB isn't so bad Is it?

I think the car needs a little touch more bling.

It's nearly as stoooopid as spending 6 months fitting a custom sports seat then finding you dont fit very well

Not quite the same as getting a shiny gear stick.

but I have just had my plastic centre covered in red leather (matches interior).

Havent got any pics put looks pretty smart. Covers most of the Gear stick and all but the aluminium part of the Hand break.

Not bad for £60ish.

Especially from Lotus!!!!!
