Are you anywhere near Oldbury?

I have to nip up there soonish you see.

S2 111S for £20K sound feasible?

£20k sounds low for dealer prices, but I guess the 111R is going to have a big impact. What is the average in PH classifieds?

Cheapest one is £20K but I was hoping the time of year and the impending release of the 111R and the Exige may help.

Exige S1 has been mentioned to me, though I imagine you cant be a big chap and be comfortable in one or can you?

Also, due to the extra power are they are a maintenance nightmare?

I fancied a Mitsi Evo 8 but was a bit shocked at the 4500 intervals you see...

Exige? not for everyday commuting.

You'll die from the heat.

Even the air-con is crap IIRC.

Yep, but for a decent one, your into S2 111s prices, namely £21-23k i think.

Plus the engine isnt RIGHT behind you in a chim. It would hate sitting in traffic as well.

Big line it is then.

Bugger.

I have heard of a Lotus dealer that may be in trouble, a deal may come up I suppose.

Bugger bugger bugger.

I was set on a 111S

Arse.

Just wait a bit.

When the "newer" exige is announced all prices will take a tumble.

What about an S1 111s?

You can pick them up for around £14-16k.

good for track days as well.

I think I may be a bit big for the S1 Elise or so I have been told.

I could wait but I dont really want to!

The MINI needs to go soon and I need at least one car by then.

You'll be fine.

Give it a try. you'll be suprised!

What *I'D[1]* do is buy a sorted S1 111s for around £15k and run it for a year. Stick the £5k in a high interest "locked" style account and then sell the 111s in a year for an S2 111s. You'd lose only a bit on the S1 (prices are pretty stable) especially when off-set against the gain in interest.

Best of both worlds

[1] Im a complete idiot though.
