Just wondering has any one painted their callipers on the Elise and is it an easy job? Also is there any pictures out there with their callipers painted so i can see what it looks like? Cheers

Interesting one Doe - depending on the answer here I might consider picking out the "Lotus" on mine in gold to match the bling of the wheels and air vents.

:Bling-a-ling:

P.S. (anyone know a who can come up with a bling smiley for PH?)

You can simply paint them with heat resistant caliper paint (can get that from Halfords), but I've never had a close look at the quality.

S, how about a gold anodised set

I got a pot of heat resistant caliper paint and did mine. BRG Elise with yellow calipers. Turned out nice. Very easy to do, I'd recommend taking the calipers off the car completely though, you'll do a better job and it's 10 times easier to clean and paint them. Just don't rush it! Give yourself around 4 days from start to finish, and don't use the car in between. If the paint hasn't hardened properly and you do some heavy braking, it will not bind correctly, collect dust and not last as long.

I remember when I was thinking about it I came across a really good site which some chap had put up with a diary of how he did is.

Anthony.

Going to do mine after I get my wheels re-coloured in black or anthracite. Maybe red or silver
