Hi guys
Anybody had any experience with the AVO spring/shock kits?
I know everybodys gona say nitrons but i got MOT,Tax and insurance coming up next month so looks like its gona be rivita and cucumber for a while.
The standard koni,s have done well to last nearly 6 years but i think are well past there best.
Gona wait till MOT before i do anything :scared: but just looking at options
Thx

Not on the Elise, but I've had experience of them on 'Seven' type kit cars and the like. I would rate them on a par with the cheaper (ie non-rebuildable)'Spax' dampers - absolutely fine for road or track day use.
Unless you are chasing a major race championship and/or are a very talented and sensitive driver, it's possible to waste an awful lot of money on fancy shocks to very little noticeable advantage, IMHO.
AVO's will probably do the job just fine!

Don't do it, I have had 6 months of hell with Avo shocks fitted to my S1, they knock like hell!, and don't handle well at all, don't get me wrong I know people who have used them on other cars and they have been fine, but on the Elise they are SH@T, car booked in for some Koni/Lotus Sport Shocks
