Hi Guys.
I have noticed some blistering paintwork on the rear of my elise just by the bootlid. Its interesting as the blistering follows the same dimentions and line as the boot catch underneath. But the catch is bonded on and not screwed.

Has anybody else had this problem?
The car is a 111s and only 5 months old.

Hopefully it will be dealt with under warranty.

Blistering paintwork is fairly common on the S2 and I've never heard of Lotus refusing to deal with it for free within the warranty period. Take it to your dealer to evaluate and they should be able to organise the work and warranty claim for you.

Welcome to PH, by the way!

Mine has the same problem and is being fixed under warranty next week. The guy from Lotus who came to view it at my dealer reckons someone picked up the rear clam without gloves before spraying. Good luck with yours.
