Rear Brake Discs

Does anyone run the 290mm AP brake discs on the rear?

If you do what pads do you use and how much of the supposed to be swept area is missed?

I ran them, had to grind the caliper A little and the se no. on the disks black to flat.
I had rs42's all round.

depends if your talking S1 OR S2

S1 *may* require some trimming to fit (most don't), S2'S just fit.

yes there will be an un-swept band outside of the pad, but this is normal (OEM are no different, just another 1mm on an S2 with 290mm)

upside is the disk castings are massively better than OEM, in every respect.

Pad wise, I still would go with Padgid's.

Cheers for the info Scuffers, its for the VX220. I need new pads and discs all round so thought I'd go for the AP's all round rather than getting the 4pot kit I'd been offered.
