You get a new cylinder head, gas flowed, polished etc and you... errr... fit it. I think that is pretty much it.

Having driven the 135 S2 Elise model I can tell you that it's pretty much the same as the standard model. I went to a track day where they had this model availiable for test drives and after blatting my standard Elise round the track I got a go in the new model.

The only difference I noticed was that the cabin noise had increased and the power was slightly higher up. Apart from that, I was reaching the same speeds on the straights as mine! I felt that you could leave the corners a bit quicker but there was no dramatic increase in performance.

I even got one of the professional drivers to take me round and it felt pretty much the same as when I was driving it.

Overall I felt the cost didn't justify the performance increase, it was a bit too subtle to bother with.

ok my car had more power than a lotus 135 est about 145 to 148 hp.

in real terms this gives me very good torque more than a 135 as that uses the vvc inlet so revs higher.

i can over take with out changing down a gear and it pulls over 60 and even at 100 mph.

still not enough power for an elise imo but this mil light is a problem so not sure what to do next.

on the track i think it would be fast as you can use that power out the corners.

hope that helps abit
