Removing half of footrest
Discussion
After seeing Bogies car (I know I'm a copycat ) I want to take the front part of the footrest out the passenger side Think my girlfriend would appreciate this and I need the brownie points too
So how the hell does it come out?! And where do I get a carpet to compensate for the extra room left once its gone?!
Cheers guys for any help

Unless your car is different from mine, the footrest is simply attached with velcro (doncha just love Lotus build quality? ) and you can just pull it out.
Plenty of specialist firms will make you up a new set of carpets to suit, but I think you might need the pair if you want them to match - don't know if they would be able to source an exact match to the material Lotus use.

Mine is std !
there were 2 types of foot rests available - the dual one (like you have) and the single one like mine..also the carpet kit is different depending on which you have....its held in by velcro and just pulls out - Im sure a new one is about £30 from Lotus ..then youll need some new funky mats - try www.bell-colvill.co.uk Ive got the Lotus Motorsport mats - about £60 IIRC
